Kate Malcolm also known as Kate Sheppard is a famous activist who fought for women rights, The reason I am writing about her is because without her hard work women would be still in the kitchen cooking and taking care of our children and husbands, She was born in Liverpool at 1847.
Kate Sheppard was born in Liverpool at 1847 but she then moved to New Zealand during her twenties because she wanted to have more opportunities and wanted to be around and be with her sisters.
She really wanted women to have rights and was very determined for women to be able to vote. Kate Sheppard was fighting for women's rights and is also a leader of a women's suffrage campaign She had two husbands and a son but was married at 1871.
Kate was able to get 32,000 signatures of people who were also determined got women to vote signed the and 270m long petition.
