foot print analysis

On Tuesday we were learning about footprints during forensic Science. Footprints are a type of impression left by a shoe or foot on the ground. It is what forensic scientists use to find out suspects and criminals in crime scenes. They can identify who the criminals are because of the different shoe patterns, sizes, and wear damage.

Then yesterday we were learning about fingerprints and we have learnt that there are different fingerprint patterns like Whirls, loops, and arches. After that, we had to stamp our fingerprints on a ballon and identify the pattern.

My Holiday

Today at ESOL we had to write a blog about my holiday.
I am going to write about my time during my holiday.

Physically, I have been just been walking around the house because of boredom, most of the time I have just been bothering my siblings and trying to make my brother cry. Sometimes I get too lazy to go outside my room so I have just been playing games.

Intellectually, I learned how to make dalonga candy, all you needed to do was heat up sugar and a pinch of baking soda, it burnt most of the time but it was still a good experience. I also tried making other food but I set the smoke alarm off so I just gave up.

Emotionally, I felt really tired even though I played games and slept most of the time, I also went on calls with my friends a lot, because I  like talking.

SOCIAL STUDIES DLO

The New Zealand land march was a protest for Maori to gain their land back that was held at North Island, and it was led by Whina cooper. The New Zealand land march was a protest for the Maori to gain back their land back

Understand the events that caused the protests.

The protest took place because Maori were suffering culture loss, land alienations. Basically in the past Maori were treated unfairly compared to other people in New Zealand. The Land March was successfully led with the support of many and by a very special person called Dame Whina Cooper who led the Land March proudly.

After the New Zealand land march the Maori finally had enough courage to stand up for themselves and everyone started being aware of the land loss and everything else. They also started letting maori speak their own languages.

Esol Learning Objective Week 10

Today in ESOL we had to make a short blog about the highlights of this term.

Out of every ESOL class we have had, yesterday was probably one of the best lessons cause we had a listening test which doesn't sound very interesting but it was really nice to just sit down quietly and work after doing sports outside. I also really liked that after the test we were allowed to just talk and have free time.

Even if I didn't do my very best during the test, I was still proud of being able to do the test well. I do wish to score higher and better for the rest of my tests.

I also enjoyed watching Penguin Bloom it was a really nice movie and it was nice to just sit down and watch but the task involved was really fun too.

PE BADMINTON BLOG

For the week we have been playing badminton in PE. Today I am going to tell you how to score a game.

You can play badminton in singles or pairs. There are smaller lines for a single match and wider ?deeper lines for the doubles match.

If you hit the shuttlecock over the opposite side. and they don't hit it, but it lands within the court lines, you score a point.

if a server is unsuccessful in hitting the shuttlecock over the net, or the service doesn't go diagonal, it's a point to the other team and they get the next serve.

if you hit the shuttelcock out of the lines/court, it's a point to the other team.

if you don't hit the shuttlecock, or don't hit it back over the net, and it falls to the ground on your side of the court, its a point to the other team.

The first team to reach 21 points wins the game. There are usually 3 games played. so you might win 3-0, 2-1 or 2-0.

if the teams are both on 20 points in a game, the winner must get two points ahead to win, eg. 22-20.
